It is the end of July and even though I have nnot written for a couple of weeks I have been busy.
I tried sticking to my training plans only for my right knee to start going the same way teh left one did, luckilly i spotted the signs and stopped hopefully before doing any lasting damage, but it does mean that the furthest i have run all month is 7km. This is far from ideal in my training. To that end I have spent the last week in the gym and off the roads, and hopefully after another week of that all will be good.
Between the gym and the roads I travelled 61km by foot running (I logged 7km for the British 10k as that was how far I ran before walkign and jogging home), and that is the furthest of any single month. I only beat April by 1km, and looking back at the statistics I only ran for teh first 14 days of April, so in hindsight I think I know how I hurt my hip back then.
Tomorrow is the start of the last full month before the Great north Run, so time to start my sponsorship and hopefully get in some good training. I will be travelling a lot for work and holiday this month so it will take some effort to keep good.
